Steel bearings delivered to the Second Jamuna Railway Bridge (Bangladesh)

Kawakin’s BPB Bearing and Pivot Bearing support the Bangladesh infrastructure - Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge Construction Project

Kawakin Core-Tech's huge Pivot bearing and BPB bearings are successfully installed in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge Construction Project in Bangladesh, which was constructed by Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA).

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge crosses the Jamuna River, located approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

It is positioned 300 meters upstream of the existing Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna road-and-rail Bridge) and contribute to the increasing demand for railway transportation and strengthen the transportation system in Bangladesh's domestic and international neighborhood region.

The anti-corrosion system, TAPS, was applied to the bearing. Coated by Aluminum-Magnesium thermal spraying, the sacrificial corrosion protects the steel bearing under severe environmental conditions.

Kawakin Core-Tech has served bearings and expansion joints to other highlighting ODA projects in Bangladesh, such as Western Bangladesh Bridge Improvement Project PW-02 and The Kanchpur, Meghna and Gumti 2nd Bridges Construction and Existing Bridges Rehabilitation Project.
