As a Japanese ODA project, a road connecting the container terminal to the Northern East Africa Corridor and a bypass road to the southern region of Mombasa are under construction in the vicinity of the Port of Mombasa in the Republic of Kenya.

On July 6th, 2023, a group of six experts from KeNHA - the road administrator, and Katahira & Engineers International - the construction management company, visited our Ibaraki Plant as part of the “Mombasa Port Area Road Development Project” (Phase II) training program.

The training was fruitful as we were able to convey the characteristics and importance of our products (steel bearings) used in bypass roads (bridges) that are currently under construction through a lively question-and-answer session on the details of their structures, functions, and maintenance methods.

We will continue to contribute to overseas infrastructure development by sharing our technical capabilities and knowledge through such opportunities in the future.
